Deals Of The Day: The Latest In Wealth Management M&A – Savant Wealth Management

Savant Wealth Management, the US RIA, is buying another RIA – The Relaxing Retirement Coach, a business with $483 million of assets under management. 

The Relaxing Retirement Coach, which has six employees, is located in Wellesley, Maine. This move marks Savant’s first in New England, and its fifth of the year. 

The terms of the deal, which is expected to close on June 30, were not released.

Founded in 2003 by Jack Phelps, The Relaxing Retirement Coach, concentrates on helping people to prepare for and navigate the approach to retirement and their years after work.

Phelps, who will become an owner-member in Savant, is also the author of The Relaxing Retirement Formula: For the Confidence to Liberate What You’ve Saved and Start Living the Life You’ve Earned.

In 2023, Savant expanded its footprint to include offices in Georgia, South Carolina, and greater Pennsylvania, as well as Massachusetts. In total, Savant, headquartered in Rockford, Illinois, has 32 offices in 12 states. It expects to continue its expansion with additional acquisitions this year.
